  1. Hi Chris. Well, just want you to know that my husband and I have been researching you literally for hours. Well, here's the story….we picked up a really cool print at a second hand store today. We tried for a REALLY long time to figure out your last name. We were just about to call it quits when my husband figured it out! So we have been looking you up to learn more about you! And how cool that you are writing a graphic novel! We are both teachers, and let me tell you, graphic novels are it!! So, the print we picked up….it's a sunflower, and it's numbered 8/500 and signed by you! (we think). Can you give a bit of history? it has a little water damage in the bottom left but could be reframed to cover that! Would love to know more!

    Thanks Kevin and Monica

    1. Hello Kevin and Monica,
Thank you for looking and contacting me. My family lived in Marion from 1960, I went to ORR, we sold the house after they died in 2009.
The sunflower is a silkscreen print from the 70's. The Massachusetts Horticultural Society was thinking of using the sunflower as a logo, and asked us (The Graphic Workshop) to draw the sunflower. It was my job to draw it, very difficult, it took quite some time. It never worked as the logo, I think, It was the brainchild of Carlton Lees, who was then president of the Horticultural Society. I'm now an artist in Somerville.
